Hatsune Miku 【Magical Mirai 2016】 Nendroid Review

Well hello!

It feels like it’s been ages. So many things have happened lately…( ꒪Д꒪)ノ My little sister got married, I ran another 5k, and I’m in the middle of my summer semester at school. It’s been hard finding time to actually relax and work on videos and posts. BUT TA-DA; I MADE IT HAPPEN TODAY.

Nendroid Title

Last week, I received a long awaited package in the mail from Good Smile Company. After being delayed around three times, the Magical Mirai 2016 Nendroid has made it home!

nendroid box

nendroid roundabout

Unboxing this cute patootie was filled with so much anticipation and indescribable weeb noises that I just could not contain myself.  First off, the hair looks flawless and was painted beautifully. I love the modest gradient they achieved because it gives the hair more depth in my opinion. (*’∀’人)♥

nendroid details 1

nendroid details 2

Now, ya’ll know that as much as I love my figures regardless, I am always looking at those T I N Y details because that’s how you know they were made with love. And by God, this Miku was made with a lot of love. Out of the nendroids I have seen and owned, this has some of the prettiest details. The tiny “01” on the gloves and the diamonds on the socks are what really stood out to me. Not to mention ruffles and the ribbons underneath the skirt. Those finer details are well worth the wait because it shows that GSC cares about their product. It makes my heart swell, I tell you what.

Overall, as I said before, this nendroid was worth the delays and worth the money.  I paid about $42 (¥4200) which isn’t awful at all and if you ever get the chance to buy one, DO IT. You will weeb so hard, I guarantee or your money back. Anyways, if you would like to see/hear my weeb and unbox this precious figure, go ahead and watch the video down below!

Anyways that is it for today! I hope you enjoyed today’s post and video; if you have any comments or questions in regards to nendroids or this specific nendroid in general, feel free to leave a comment down below! With that said, have a wonderful week ahead of you and I will see you all next time!

【初音ミクスイートパンプキンねんどろいどこ〜で】 Review + Video

Hey everyone!

I had made my first pre-order with Good Smile Company a while back and it finally arrived last weekend. Granted, I had intended on making this post a bit earlier but it was a stressful and busy week at work so I didn’t get time to plan like I intended. Anyways, here’s my review of the Hatsune Miku Sweet Pumpkin Nendroid Co-de!

nendroid

My order with Good Smile Company went incredibly well and their customer service is very responsive and courteous. I had an issue where my bank sent me a new credit card without notifying me so I had to change a lot of things including this item. Good Smile Company answered my questions and assured me that once it came time to pay, it’ll be an easy process and it indeed was. Once she was shipped off, I received the box within 3 days and was thrilled to know she was packed firmly. I was very very happy and very very excited.

nendroid-top

After unboxing this adorable figure, I immediately fell in love with the details. I’ve only had one Nendroid prior and although it was adorable, it didn’t have as many details as this.  The hair is painted and shaded so incredibly and the candy on the hem of her skirt is A+ to the max. The only qualm I have is that in the photo used for reference, there were tiny bits and pieces in her hair that I adored, but I understand why they were left out.

nendroid-middle

One thing I did notice, granted I have never owned a Nendroid Co-de before, is that they don’t come with extra face plates or extra arms for different poses. It’s a little upsetting but now it makes sense why the Nendroid Co-de figures are cheaper than actual Nendroids. If I am correct though, Nendroid Co-de figures are meant to kind of mix and match with one another…but you can do that with regular Nendroid figures to an extent, so please! Correct me if I am incorrect…

nendroid-bottom

Overall though, I am so thrilled with my purchase and I would totally suggest that people get this Nendroid if they can find it! I honestly like this module better than the Halloween Miku released during Miku Expo so it was great compensation for missing out on that release. I adore her and I am so happy to add her to my Vocaloid collection!

If you’d like to see me unboxing this figure and assembling her, please watch the video below!

And that wraps it up for this post today! I hope you all enjoyed it and I hope to be back soon with something fun and exciting. If you have a Nendroid or a Nendroid Co-de, leave a comment down below on how you like it or if you have any suggestions on pre-orders! Have a fantastic Sunday and an awesome week guys and I will see you next time!

We Review: Omakase FINAL BOX Vocaloid Edition

Well hello hello!

How are you all doing today? I hope you’re well and rested and healthy!!!!! I am really feeling the exhaustion today, but I did do something that I’ve been wanting to do for a while…I GOT A NEW TATTOO!

JIRACHI

I absolutely adore it you guys. A huge thank you to Jon at Dark Horse Tattoo for taking me in last minute and doing a beautiful job in such a short amount of time! I don’t know what to name her though…I kind of want to call her Serendipity for some reason…but I don’t think that makes sense…(*´ェ`*) ANYWAYS…

I was able to get my hands on the final Omakase Subscription box which just so happened to be Vocaloid themed and I wanted to share my experience with you all as always.

DISCLAIMER: We were not asked nor sponsored by Viewster for this review. The subscription was paid for entirely by us. Thank you for your understanding.

Omakase Title

Let me just say; I am really impressed with this subscription box and it’s honestly a huge shame that this was the final release for Omakase. However, they went out with a BANG. I am glad to have subscribed although it was only for one box…(⌯˃̶᷄ ﹏ ˂̶᷄⌯)゚

Omakase Belt

Let’s start off with this AMAZING piece of Cosplay gear! Say hello to the Rin and Len Omakase Exclusive Cosplay belt WITH a matching strap so you can cosplay Banana Son or Orange Daughter…YES I MADE NICKNAMES FOR THEM. I haven’t actually had a chance to wear them yet, but I am planning on wearing it to Miku Expo next month along with the tons of other gear I will be sporting…

Omakase Keychain

Look at this chubby little keychain. I LOVE IT. This is the Hatsune Miku Omakase Exclusive Squishable Plush Keychain! (That was a mouthful) It’s a very soft, fleece material and it’s really really adorable. I love how high quality this keychain is because I’ve been running into a lot of cheap products, so this was such a pleasant surprise!

Omakase Shirt

AHHHHHHH. The main reason I subscribed for this box. This gorgeous Hatsune Miku Omakase Exclusive t-shirt. It’s amazingly cute, colorful…and dare I say…Kawaii. This shirt is a really nice quality and very comfortable to wear but I ran into a slight issue with mine. When I subscribed for the box, I could’ve sworn they ask you for either a men’s or women’s t-shirt and what size you’d prefer. So when I ordered mine, I got a Ladies Large…but when I tried it on…it seemed to be a men’s large. ( ´•̥ו̥` ) So I guess it has to be used as a sleep shirt because it looks horribly big on me. Aside from the size issue, however, I really do love this shirt and wish I could wear it out.

Omakase Paper Goods

One way to a Taylor’s heart…ADD STICKERS TO YOUR SUBSCRIPTION BOXES. I really like stationary goods you guys. And it’s Vocaloid. #RIPME The stickers are really cute and pastel…plus LEN IS SLEEPING ON A BANANA. My heart. Along with the stickers were a Postcard/Menu providing details on all of the products you received and a cute comic book featuring adorable artwork from amazing artists like Kaiami!

Omakase Poster

And finally, we have the queen; MEIKO! Omakase dropped in a really accurate portrayal of MEIKO in poster form and I love it. It’s not a huge poster so it’ll fit in most spaces I assume. I’m not too sure if I’ll hang mine up since I’m not much of a drinker…but HEY! MEIKO is…hardy har har. ∗˚(* ˃̤൬˂̤ *)˚∗

And that’s the end. Honestly, this box was such a wonderful surprise and it sucks that Viewster will no longer continue the Omakase subscription service but I’m really happy that they were very loving towards to the final box with such amazing, high quality, and cute products. If you received any of the Omakase subscription boxes; what did you get and did you enjoy it? Let me know in the comments below! I’m going to call it night! So have a great rest of the weekend and have an awesome week you guys!

We Review: Japan Crate DOKIDOKI Subscription Box January ’16

Hello Everyone!

How are you enjoying the new year thus far? I must say it’s treating me quite nicely; I officially began my new job and I absolutely love it! I’m a bit more busy since my schedule is Monday – Friday rather than Thursday – Monday, but it’s becoming a bit easier to manage. Anyways, a week ago I finally got my DOKIDOKI Japan Crate Box in the mail and actually opened it today and took pictures!

Title

DISCLAIMER: I was not asked nor sponsored by Japan Crate to do this review. The subscription was entirely paid for by myself. Thanks for your understanding.

To be honest, I almost passed on this box. I talked myself into it after a co-worker told me about her Japan Crate subscription and how her daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. So I ended up purchasing a subscription and it arrived last Monday. (۶* ‘ꆚ’)۶” And I opened it today, so I’m gonna share what I got!

opening

The package is a very pink box with white for lettering and what not. It’s actually quite sturdy in my opinion, it didn’t bend or crease in my mailbox. It’s so charming with little sayings such as 「大好き」and 「かわいいですね。」and cute characters decorating the inside of the box. I may be keeping it for future unknown uses!

guide

Every Japan Crate box comes with a guide that explains the items you received in your package. This month was quite cute, with a pink hair girl with cute character-based items around her. They also have a photo contest and cute little comic featured in it!

rilakkuma

The first item was a packet of Rilakkuma memo pads! I love cute stationary so this was actually well received. I don’t know when I will use it, but I’ll probably bring it to work where it’ll have better usage. (๑ˊ▵ॢˋ̥๑)

domo

Who doesn’t like Domo-Kun? Japan Crate featured some really cute Domo stickers in this month’s crate and I absolutely adore them to bits. I might give a couple to friends who would enjoy them a bit more than me, but the egg one stays with Tay Tay.

alpacasso

Next up was this Baby Alpacasso! Although it’s incredibly adorable, I do have to say that this was a damaged item in my box…

The left eye was actually missing from my Alpaca and although it’s unfortunate, I’ll still use it for decoration with just the right side showing. (.`・﹏・´.) It’s still very cute and fluffy though!

sushi

This is actually one of my favorite items out of the box! They’re sushi socks! I wonder how they’ll look on my feet. They’re so cute but I’m not too sure what type of sushi they’re supposed to be. ┐(´・c_・` ;)┌ As long as they’re warm and comfy, I’m not going to be picky.

pikachu

Yes. That is exactly what it is. Specifically, it’s the Pikachu Hip Pop Parade Plush and I absolutely love it. It is literally just Pikachu’s butt as a keychain and I don’t know when or where I am going to use this blessing but it will be used. ٩( ᐛ )و

hoppe

I have no idea what this thing is…or what it is. Apparently, it’s called “Hoppe-chan” and it’s a blob that popular. I have no idea what to say or what I am going to do this it. It’s got a cute design but I’m absolutely clueless.

sailor moon

I am very familiar with this item! I’ve gotten quite a few in different series and such, but I was still so excited to receive one in this box. I ended up getting the Sailor Moon I was missing which was the face with the wink. It’s so cute and tiny, so you can place it in so many different places without having to worry about it taking up too much space like the huge figures.

hello kitty

I didn’t think that there’d be fashion accessories in this box for some reason, so this incredibly cute and sturdy Hello Kitty wallet kind of surprised me! It’s got two sides and both are quite adorable with pastel backgrounds. Unfortunately, this item was also damaged. The coin pouch zipper doesn’t work correctly and is essentially broken, so I’m not 100% sure if I’d use it… ( ˃̶͈ ̯ ̜ ˂̶͈ˊ ) ︠³

sentimental

This is so cute and rather expected from a Japanese subscription box seeing as how these are quite popular in Japan. I’m not too familiar with Sentimental Circus but this is such a cute elephant and I suppose the fan will be rather useful further on into the year.

Overall, this box was rather cute and a few items I really enjoyed. I was a bit disappointed that two of the items were damaged and some of the items were just kind of bland, but maybe it’ll get better. I renewed my subscription for next month so we shall see how it goes. └(・-・)┘

PicMonkey Collage

I hope you all enjoyed this post! It was rather long…sorry! I wanted to show you everything in the box, I didn’t realize how much was in it until after the fact. I’ll be sure to share the next box with you all and hopefully it’ll be a tad better.

If you received a DOKIDOKI subscription box from Japan Crate, feel free to tell me your experience down in the comment section!

Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week! Please be safe if you’re experiencing a lot of snow!!!!

Thanks for Reading~! ❤

「ぴこぷり」Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival Tote Review

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Merry Christmas

Why yes, it is indeed Christmas and I actually have time to write a blog post. I suppose a little update on how things are going would be a relatively good way to start!

I’m not too sure if many of you know but I recently got a new job! I’m currently in the process of transitioning into it, but I’ve been really busy with my current job and Christmas shopping. But I am finally able to relax and get some good rest and work on pictures for future posts! In terms of Christmas, it was quite wonderful and quiet but a bit lonely since Anthony is visiting family this year. He’ll be home soon enough though!

Anyways, I recently ordered the latest issue of 「ぴこぷり」or Pico Puri and it came with the cutest Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival themed tote! So I’m going to review it~. ( ๑‾̀◡‾́)σ»

title pic.jpg

What is Pico Puri? Pico Puri is a gaming magazine in Japan geared towards young female gamers. The magazine has comics featuring popular game characters, QR codes for Animal Crossing, and more. It’s honestly the cutest thing I’ve ever read however a tad bit expensive at $12.99. But this month it came with Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival Themed Tote….and I could not say no to anything with Lottie and Isabelle’s face. Let’s be honest. ʸ(➜◡ु⚈᷉)♡⃛

packaging

Let’s start off with the packaging! Everything came wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap which I certainly appreciate because I try to keep my magazines in the best condition possible. The actual tote was also kept in a brown box with a plastic wrap with Animal Crossing characters scattered on it. The box was a tad difficult to open, but nothing a knife couldn’t fix!

outside

I’ve never been so aesthetically pleased by a little tote in my life. Let’s be real, the whole reason I purchased the magazine (aside from the QR codes) was for the adorable tote that features my three favorite characters; Lottie, Isabelle, and Reese! Plus, the tote itself is a light pink with polka dots. So freakin’ adorable, omg. (੭ु。╹▿╹。)੭ु⁾⁾ The material is a soft plastic that is waterproof and quite comfortable. In terms of size, it’s rather small, so I will probably use this as like a lunch bag or something~.

inside

There isn’t much going on with the inside. The tote isn’t lined with anything in particular, but it’s still waterproof which is the main thing for me. It doesn’t open to much further at the bottom, but like I said; it’s a small tote for small uses, so that isn’t much of a concern. ╮( ꒪౪꒪)╭

thanks

Overall, I absolutely adore the tote for aesthetic reasons, however it’s going to see close to no use due to it’s small size. _:(´□`」 ∠):_ But hey! It’s cute, right? With that said, I hope you all enjoyed today’s post! I also hope you all have a wonderful and safe Christmas and Holiday season. I have a few posts to put up hopefully before New Year’s Eve if all goes well! Anyways, you guys are so incredible and I love you all loads!!!

Thanks for Reading~! ❤

Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions — A Review

What’s Happening Everyone!?
I hope everyone is doing well! It’s been an awesome week and I am starting to get back into the swing of blogging; and it feels good. Anyways, Anthony and I recently had the chance to see Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions in Vienna, VA…so we thought, why not do a review on our experience?

a review

Before I begin this review, I believe it is needless to say that I am an ADAMANT Pokemon fan. I have been heavily influenced by my mother who had bought my brother and I Pokemon Red and Blue during it’s original release and I haven’t stopped since! So you can imagine the amount of excitement I was feeling as Anthony and I made our way to Vienna for the event.

pokemon symphony

The concert was held at the Wolf Trap’s Filene Center and the two of us had purchased Prime Orchestra tickets. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect as Anthony and I had never been to Wolf Trap before and i found the pictures of the venue on the website to be a bit confusing. Upon our arrival, and to our relief, we found a beautiful venue… under ferocious blistering heat.Though I can’t really blame the heat on the venue, besides, Anthony and I drank our weight in water during the wait so we stayed safe and hydrated! In spite of the heat the wait was still an incredible experience. The crowd was packed with so many Pokemon fans — both young and old — mingling with one another, battling each other, and some were even shiny hunting (like me)! It was an awesome sight to see.

pokemon symphony 2

We waited for the performance a couple of hours and, in the mean time, purchased some rather expensive concert goods; a t-shirt for $30 and two posters for $30. We were finally able to go to our seats and enjoy some good ole’ “Who’s That Pokemon?” trivia! Within minutes the orchestra was finally seated and prepared to begin. The minute Susie Seiter took the stage my heart began to pound and I was immediately at the brink of tears.

The Orchestra began with arguably one of the most iconic pieces of Pokemon music from the last 20 years since it’s debut; “Pallet Town.” With amazing visual effects from the games themselves I found myself watching in awe and totally captivated by nostalgia. Each song becoming more powerful and emotional than the next. I found that my favorites pieces from the performance were “Ecruteak City” and “N-Counter.”

After two hours and a 20 minute intermission we were wound down with an amazing encore performance of two songs that hit me right in the feels. The oh-so-famous Anime theme “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” and the ending theme to Pokemon XY. They also performed , “KISEKI” as a loving tribute to the late Satoru Iwata who passed recently. My heart was heavy and my eyes wanted to tear up as the concert came to an end in a most heart felt and emotional way. But thankfully the fun didn’t end when the music did.

signing

After the concert both the conductor, Susie Seiter, as well as creative director for the concert, Jeron Moore, were out seated signing posters. Anthony and I both managed to get our posters signed in a timely fashion. We were glad too because though there were A LOT of people in line and it was already close to 11PM. Susie was super sweet and so beautiful and Jeron asked me if I had “Kept Calm” during the concert (I was wearing a shirt saying “Keep Calm & Catch ‘Em All”) and I happily said “Not at All” with a huge smile.

So, I must say….my overall impression of the Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions was….AMAZING.

If you have an opportunity to see it you should. Don’t hold back especially if you’re a heavy duty die hard Pokemon fan. The music will leave you breathless, and the visual effects keep your eyes if not in set in awe as they stroll down memory lane. Anthony and I both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we’re so happy to have taken the time to go out and see it. One piece of advice for you poke fans out there; make sure to bring some money. This merchandise is expensive…BUT…it’s also very cute. The ” like you really really can’t help yourself from emptying your wallet because it’s so cute” kind of cute.

Anyways, that’s it for today’s post and review! I hope you all enjoyed reading about it as much as I enjoyed writing about it. The next post will be a follow up to the last SimplyMe post so please look out for that coming soon! I hope you all have a wonderful week and weekend, please be safe and as always….

REMEMBER: “Gotta Catch ‘Em All”…especially if you want that shiny charm.

The Foodie: Earl Grey & Orchestras at Tea Tyme

Hello Everyone!

This week I am back with a review for “The Foodie” section and I am super excited for this review! We are going to review another local Tea Room in the Downtown Fredericksburg area; “Tea Tyme & Whatnots”. (❛ัॢᵕ❛ั ॢ)✩*ೃ.⋆ So, without further ado, here is The Foodie: Earl Grey & Orchestras at Tea Tyme.

DISCLAIMER: I was not paid, asked, or offered any discount for this review. This review is based solely on my own experience as a customer and the meal was paid for entirely by my party. Thank you for your understanding. tea tyme title Honestly, something about Tea Rooms and Houses bring about a lovely feeling inside me. Seeing beautiful tea cups, incredibly cute miniature sized finger foods and desserts…it’s something I enjoy seeing. It is also something that makes me yearn to come back. Tea Tyme & Whatnots is located in Downtown Fredericksburg on Carolina Street in the middle of a building surrounded by another restaurant and a bridal store. Thankfully, they have a large sign out front to remind any passersby’s of their location. Tea Tyme Interior When walking into the restaurant, you are immediately greeted by a lovely pink color theme, many sparkly items and gorgeous tea cups surrounding you. Tables are decorated with lacey cloths with tiers of different sugars, salt and pepper shakers. Unfortunately, there is little room when the restaurant is full of customers. The tables are in close proximity to each other. There’s also the fact that the chairs sometimes don’t fit underneath the table.  It can force you to sit with your side towards the table much like I did during this visit. It’s a bit of an inconvenience, but the wonderful atmosphere kind of kept me from thinking too much about it. There was a large TV above the table we were sitting. On it was a DVD of some violinist and orchestra playing. I did enjoy the music and video, but I would have much rather there be no TV. Just classical or jazz music playing in the background, in my opinion, would be better as it adds to the ambiance of a tea room. Tea Tyme Food For this visit, Anthony ordered a BLT with a side of Potato Salad. I ordered the Victorian Afternoon Special with Cucumber Sandwiches on Wheat Bread, Chocolate Chip Scones, and Creme De La Earl Grey as my Tea choice! The Potato Salad came out first and Anthony and I were both fairly impressed…it didn’t taste funky or anything. It tasted like a potato salad should, however it didn’t set itself apart from others that I have had in the past. After the potato salad I received my pot of tea and it was splendid. I was incredibly happy with my choice of tea as it had a light vanilla taste while still maintaining that Earl Grey excellence. I added a bit of creamer to mine. It made the tea smoother to drink while leaving the taste mostly unaffected. Then came Anthony’s BLT which he found most adequate. The BLT included avocados which had shocked him a bit initially. He said the sandwich, as a whole was good, but all in all a little pricey. Finally, I was presented with my Victorian Afternoon Special. The plate design was rather adorable; cute miniature finger sandwich filled with refreshing cucumbers, dill sauce, heart-shaped scones, and a teeny tiny strawberry cupcake with an even tinier tea cake on top. Despite the presentation, I was sort of underwhelmed. You pay about $15 for this plate and tea, but it’s filled with rather small portions. In terms of taste, the cucumber sandwiches weren’t terrible. I felt the bread was a bit firm and tasted somewhat stale. The scones were delicious I just wish they had more of a variety. And the teeny tiny cupcake with the teeny tiny tea cake on top was good, but gone in a second. If I had to say anything, you’re mostly paying for the atmosphere if anything.

The service was okay, I suppose, it was rather slow. I guess we had arrived right after a large party had left. We noticed two of their servers were still cleaning up after them. During our meal the service was incredibly slow; we waited a while for my tea. It came after our food did and our wait for the check felt excruciatingly long. I had to go up and remind the servers that we were ready to pay and leave. The servers were very nice, but slow and inattentive service is, sometimes, frustrating to me. Overall, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend Tea Tyme for their food. It’s overpriced and lacks anything special to make it feel like it is worth the price you’d be paying. However, if you were to go in for a pot of tea and scones with the intentions of relaxation to the elegant sound of classical music then this would be a quaint spot to do it. Tea Tyme Thanks If you would like to visit Tea Tyme & Whatnots, visit their webpage HERE for their menu, operating hours, and more.
