Pretty Guardians – Sailor Moon Fan Club – Make Up Lip Gloss Unboxing + Video

Hello my Lovely Pretty Guardians!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas yesterday! Mine was quite lovely and relaxing, thank goodness. Did you spend time with family or get some really great gifts or have any stories? I’d love to hear from you all in the comments down below! ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡

Anyways, the day after coming home from California, I went to pick up a package and was happy to see it was from Tokyo Otaku Mode which meant my Sailor Moon Fan Club package arrived!! So I did an unboxing photo shoot and video for you all. I hope you enjoy!

The package came with a certificate featuring the official fan club card along with a member exclusive lip gloss brooch based off the original manga and Sailor Moon Crystal brooch. Needless to say; I felt even more like a Moon Princess when I opened up the package. (⺣◡⺣)♡*

The box is incredibly gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing. It’s rather small and deceiving in terms of weight; it’s heavier than it appears which isn’t bad at all. The back has detailed information regarding the lip gloss. I’m very pleased with the packaging and have it displayed with the certificate.

Let me tell you; I didn’t have high expectations when it came to this lip gloss. It’s not because I lack faith in the company…but rather I’ve rarely purchased make up over the internet. So when I opened the box and held the brooch, I was happily surprised at the quality. It’s quite heavy in your hands and the “jewels” look very sturdy and won’t fall out any time soon. The back is nice and clean with a tiny sticker displaying minimal information. It brings back a lot of nostalgia and happiness from my childhood of reading the manga and watching the anime.

When opening up the brooch, you’re greeted with a lovely pastel pink colored gloss and a tiny mirror that I’d probably get little to no use out of. The lip gloss doesn’t have much a scent to it which is perfectly okay for me as I tend to have super sensitive skin. There isn’t really any tint to it also which is also fine with me. It does appear to give a very moisturized cover, so this may be appealing to those who prefer a shinier lip cover rather than matte.

Overall, I’m in love with this item. As a long time Sailor Moon fan, being a part of the Fan Club brings me so much joy and to have a chance to own items such as this is incredible and nostalgic to me. I’m thankful for the opportunity TOM brought to overseas fans to be a part of such a wonderful club. ٩(๑∂▿∂๑)۶♡

I’m also hoping to have a Christmas Haul unboxing video on the YouTube channel by tomorrow! Have a wonderful last week of 2016 and I will see you next time!

Current Faves +October 2015+

Hey Everybody!

I’m sorry it’s (yet again) been a while since my last post. To say this month has been stressful is an understatement. I am trying to find better ways to cope with it, but all will work out in some way, shape, or form. Anyways, I thought I’d do a fun post where I’ll share some things that I am thoroughly enjoying. I’m not 100% sure if this will be a monthly series, but for now I’ll keep the title as “Current Faves!” (๑•͈ᴗ•͈)

current faves title

I honestly had trouble picking specific items and themes…so I decided to include them all! A bit of music, books, games, and fashion~. (⑅˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈ ) If there is anything you’d like to know specifically that isn’t mentioned in this month’s post, please let me know in the comments below!

I’ve always enjoyed jazz music but lately I’ve found myself listening to different jazz circles more and more. I’ve been especially fond of Baguettes Ensemble and Comiket 81! ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪

Baguettes Ensemble covers a lot of Vocaloid and Touhou songs which is actually how I discovered their music in the first place. Their songs may be covers, but they always add their own touch of incredible instrumental or vocal talents that really keeps me on my toes and gets me excited! One of my favorite songs at the moment is “Double Lariat” and I can’t help but spin around to it.

Comiket 81 focuses a bit more on Touhou background music and instrumentals. Their covers range from traditional jazz to cafe and lounge music. I prefer to listen to the Cafe de Touhou albums when I’m playing video games or at a local Starbucks while I catch up on some reading.

For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to order the “Cardcaptor Sakura” Nakayoshi 60th Anniversary edition books and I finally got the chance as of recently…and I have no regrets. (≖ᴗ≖๑) First off, let me just say how stunning and gorgeous the artwork and details are on the cover. It was so pretty, I had trouble removing the plastic. ( ・ั﹏・ั)  Overall, the quality of the book entirely is just amazing. The pages are a lovely glossy paper that will not rip easily and I freakin’ adore CLAMP’s artwork throughout the entire series. This was an such an awesome purchase and I can’t stop fangirling!

I have had questions about how I read Japanese manga. I will admit, I have the entire CCS series in English and read it already. But for other series, I have a pretty good grip when it comes to reading Japanese, however there are certain kanji or phrases that I do get confused with. At that point, I just type it into my translation app and 95% it helps!

You guys…I have an addiction. AN ANIMAL CROSSING ADDICTION. ( ⁺⌓ॢ⁺;)՞ Actually, when I first heard news about Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, I thought it was the dumbest idea ever. All you do is design houses…and schools…and a hospital. However, when the Japanese version was released and let’s plays began appearing on YouTube, I took a gander and fell in love. Within moments, I was at my local GameStop pre-ordering the NFC-reader bundle. It was magical. Now that I have the game; I CAN’T STOP PLAYING. I must design EVERY HOUSE AS PASTEL AS POSSIBLE. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و I’ll do a blog post soon on my favorite designs thus far!

This shirt is an original design by the always so lovely artist; kinok0girl! The sale is already over but the shirt design was called “Bear With Me”! The shirt is a dark navy blue with an illustrated pocket featuring a cute little Mochi Bear poking out. (♥ó㉨ò)ノ♡ Prior to this purchase, I had never ordered anything from TeeSpring before, but their t-shirt quality is actually very nice and comfortable. It doesn’t shrink and it washes and dries really well. I enjoy wearing this shirt so freakin’ much especially with my green military jacket! I can’t wait for kinok0girl to create more designs~.

THAT’S IT. ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ) I hope you guys enjoyed this post and as I said before; if there is anything specifically you’d like to know about any of the products listed or if you’re wondering what’s my favorite of a different category (keep it family friendly please), go ahead and comment down below! You guys are awesome, I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend. Oh…HAPPY HALLOWEEN ꐑ(*ꐌ◡ꐌꐐ*)࿐࿔࿓

Thanks for Reading~! ❤

Recent Purchase: I’m Going Miku Mad.

Hello awesome readers!

I am so sorry for the lack of posts lately… (•) I’ve been experiencing some health issues again and this month I’ve lack motivation to do a whole lot of anything except video games. So, to get me pumped, I thought I’d do something fun like a Recent Purchase post because this month I WENT BROKE. (∫°°)∫

miku mad

I have to admit guys…I have a spending problem. Well, actually I have a pre-order problem. But I promise, I’m saving for the wedding and honeymoon~! I guess my goals lately have been to expand my manga collection and there’s never anything wrong with a little Miku here and there and EVERYWHERE. (′ ))

promirai complete 1

promirai complete 2

I. Love. This. Item. SO MUCH. I originally heard about it on MikuFan and was a tad worried that there wouldn’t be a way for me to pre-order. ((゚□゚;)) But CDJapan had 25 copies available for pre-order at the time and I was able to purchase and finally receive it this month!

The complete set comes with the following: 5 CDs, 1 Blu-Ray DVD, 5 Stickers, a Miku Dayo mini magazine, Lyric Booklet, and a Petite Nendroid Miku Dayo Figurine.

Honestly, I am beyond thrilled with the item, the only issue I’d site with the product is that although there are five CDs…not every song that you see on Project Mirai is on the track listing. I was REALLY hoping for “Matryoshka”, but…I guess it was too much to ask~. (•́︿•̀)

IT FINALLY CAME. OMG. After a four month delay ONE WEEK PRIOR to the original release date…Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX finally came out and it’s everything I dreamed it would be. (˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و

The game play is way easier than its Project Diva counterparts and much cuter with the adorable super deformed Nendroid bodies. It was also nice to get a Launch Special Pre-Order package. Granted; all you got was the game, 19 AR cards that are front and back, and a Hatsune Miku wallet chain…okay, let’s be honest! It was worth waiting 4 extra months for, but the thought was still nice.

hatsune miku graphics 2

This purchase was a bit on the spontaneous side. Anthony took me out to the bookstore because I’ve been a bit ill. As soon as I made my way to the manga section of Books A Million, I saw this large and pricey gem immediately and grabbed it. The book features many different artists and examples of their work and art style alongside costume modules from earlier Project Diva games. It’s a lovely addition to my Miku collection.

I’m not too sure if any of you are familiar with my social media accounts…but lately I have been obsessed with the anima “Himouto! Umaru-Chan.” I have never related to anything so much in my life. I tried to see if there were any “legal” English translated versions of the manga (I’m not very fond of free manga reading sites anymore…) and there are none. NEXT BEST IDEA: Find the Japanese Manga. And I did…on JList.Com for like $7.50 a book. So cheap. So nice and cute to read. ˚₊⁎( ˘ω˘ )⁎⁺˳

Honestly, these were kind of miscellaneous purchases from Amazon or Barnes and Noble. Like I said earlier, I’ve been wanting to expand my manga collection and so lately I’ve been trying to complete as many Arina Tanemura series as possible and I’ve been wanting to read “Komomo Confiserie” since the release was announced. I’m very excited to read all of these. (۶ꎁꈨ )۶ʸᵉᵃʰᵎ

Well, that’s it for this post! I hope you all enjoyed it and let me know if you’ve purchased anything similar or are playing Project Mirai DX as well~! I’ll try and do a fashion post sometime in the next week or two as well as a possible Halloween Costume themed post? I’m not too sure. BUT LET ME KNOW! (ノ。≧◇≦)ノ I hope you all have a fantastic week and weekend, please take care of yourselves, and remember that you all are incredible and awesome!

Thanks for Reading~! ❤

「なかよし」Cardcaptor Sakura Clutch Pouch Review

title pic

Hello, Hello!!!!
Happy Finals Week!!! Yes finals have been the cause for my rather long absence. It’s the end of a busy semester, for me, and after this week I am free! (Cue rather cliché angelic choir.) I have missed blogging, recently, so I thought I do a mini review on an adorable product I recently purchased. Let’s take a look shall we?

the product

I’ve recently been getting back into anime in my free time. More specifically Cardcaptor Sakura! I was quite a fan back in the day and I just can’t get enough of it lately. So when I saw that the latest issue of “Nakayoshi” had a Cardcaptor Sakura clutch purse included I ordered it! I went through CDJapan for this order and it arrived, after processing, within a week and a half.

The pouch is double sided; one side is a pink, metallic material and the other is fabric  with a repeating pattern on the material. The metallic side has the Clamp logo stamped at the top near the zipper in grey ink. Unfortunately, in most light, it is difficult to see the logo and it looks cheaply stamped. The other side has a colorful pattern of Kero-chan, the Clamp logo, cherry blossoms and moons. I actually prefer this side since it has more color and you can make out the pattern rather than the dull grey ink.

The inside also has two sides. The side with the fabric has a protective plastic covering that is to protect your belongings from rain I assume. The metallic side has a fabric covering.  As to how much it can hold, I’m just going to say a lot because the typical amount of things I tend to bring with me is low and small. This pouch looks better holding quite a few items and I don’t have enough to fill it quite yet.

Overall the pouch is ridiculously cute, however certain aspects seem a bit cheap. Though it is still a great pick up, especially, for fans of the series. It’s perfect for the magical girl fans out there, or the nostalgic CCS fans such as myself. Would I use this pouch in public? HECK YES!… if I had enough items to fill it. I would definitely recommend this product as it’s incredibly affordable plus you get to read a Japanese manga magazine along with it.

Thanks so much for being so patient during this semester! You all have seriously been so awesome. I am going to try and come up with a quick Christmas guide and beauty recipe post when I get the chance~. I hope you all enjoyed today’s post and expect more like it soon! As always, please feel free to comment down below with your thoughts and questions about today’s post and if you’d like to suggest topics for future posts, please click the “Contact” button above!

As always, I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend! It’s getting cold, so bundle up~. And…

Recent Purchase: Cookbook & Miku Chan!?

Hello There!
How have you all been?! I am definitely starting to realize what life in the adult world is like… Working full-time is so frustrating and exhausting and not to mention being a full-time student. I am trying to find time to do everything that needs to be done, but posting once a week will have to do until I am able to come up with some sort of schedule.

Moving on, OH EM GEE. Have you all seen the first installment of Simply Taylor Rae’s newest YouTube series: The STR Crew Reacts To…!? Last week, it was Sailor Moon Crystal Act One. We will be filming Act Two sometime this week so you should look forward to that, but just in case…you can view the video HERE.

titleAnyways, I feel like I haven’t done a recent purchase post in what feels like a rather long time. I mean, I’ve bought stuff here and there, but never seemed to take any pictures until the other day! So, here are a few things that I have purchased within the last month or so!

the cookbook

Remember when I did Awkward Chef posts!? Yeah, those are coming back with the help of this really adorable cook book. This is “Yum-Yum Bento Box: Fresh Recipes for Adorable Lunches” and I honestly had no intention of buying this book, but I thought “Why the heck not?” and purchased it for $11.17 on Amazon (HERE). I can’t wait to make pink rice and add faces to sandwiches that will at one point be in stomach, digesting. Yum-Yum indeed.

In case you haven’t noticed, I am on a nostalgia kick! I don’t know how this happened, but I suddenly want to buy everything that reminds me of when I was little. Quick question: Is this what they call a quarter-life crisis? I had already purchased the first three not too long ago and I wanted to finish another manga series so I found “CardCaptor Sakura Omnibus #4” on Amazon for $17.07 (HERE) and I am so happy to have the complete collection now! What shall be my next venture?

skin care

Well, when you see any products from TheFaceShop on my blog…you already know where I went. Surprisingly enough, I did not buy as much this time!! Lately, my face has been producing enough oil to run my car for the next 3000 miles or so and I am in need of water and anything to keep my face properly hydrated! I ended up purchasing the Lovely ME:EX Magic Pink Powder Mask which was about $8 I believe. The adorable packaging and the calamine are what suckered me into buying it. I also purchased the Herb Water Powder Mist to replace my TonyMoly facial mist. This was about $11 or so, and it leaves a slight shimmer when used which I like since…well, everyone likes sparkles. Thankfully, every time I make a purchase I get the cutest samples and this time I was given a mini Green Tea Toner & Lotion Kit and a Core Seed Purifying Essence!

miku chan

Finally, we have the two items that I have been so excited to get my hands on! Yes, these are the new Hatsune Miku POP Funko Figures and they run about $12.90 each. Honestly, it took me a bit longer to find the Hot Topic Exclusive release…I had asked my local Hot Topic like three times if they had gotten it in and they told me no each time. I had checked online and couldn’t find it and I felt a wee bit heartbroken. So, I sucked it up and bought the regular edition on Amazon (HERE). I’ll admit, I still loved it but I just had to have the HT Exclusive edition. So on my way home from Annandale, I decided to do one last check at a Hot Topic way up north from home and BY GOD THEY HAD IT. Talk about #Winning.

Well, there you have it. I promise the next recent purchase will be much better and hopefully much more…full? Anyways, let me know what you all think of today’s post in the comments down below! I am excited to hear what you all have to think and while you’re at it; if you have any suggestions for future posts or videos on the STR YT Channel, go ahead and click on that contact button above!

As always, I hope you all enjoy your week and take good care of yourselves! I’m going to be working, but hopefully it won’t be too bad…ugh.

REMEMBER: MikuExpo in NYC is officially three months away! Will you be there? :O

The Geeky: My Top 3 Shoujo Manga

Hello Hello Hello!
It has been such a painful weekend for my poor feet! I have to go back to wearing Danskin shoes to help my feet and back. 8.5 hours of standing is not ideal, I can say that. As for now, I am lying comfortably in bed and writing in my daily journal. I thought today that I would just have an easy day by telling you all about my top three shoujo manga!
imageI have been reading manga for a while now and these three manga are the ones I would constantly tell people about and recommend reading. So if you’re looking for some pretty awesome shoujo manga to get your hands on or start reading, here are three of my personal faves.
image_1First off is probably the most classic and influential manga to be released yet: Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon takes place in 20th century Japan where an average and clumsy 14-year-old Usagi Tsukino learns that she is “Sailor Moon” by a talking cat named Luna! She fights evil and finds friends/sailor scouts along the way and OH MY GOSH I LOVE IT. I personally grew up with the original anime, but within the last year or so, the manga was released in the United States and I got the chance to read it all and I will admit that the manga is relatively different to the anime. I personally think it was better and progressed a lot faster! The art is gorgeous and the story is adorable, deep, and thoughtful.
image_2Next up is a relatively new manga entitled “Taiyou no Ie” or “House of the Sun.” The story follows  Mao, a high schooler whose parents are divorced and has no place to stay, while she finds a home with her best friend’s older brother. Day by day, she grows fonder of her home while also trying to find her place in her father’s new family. One thing I love about this manga is that it is very mild and what I mean by that is that it is refreshing to read, the plot is thoughtful and there isn’t too much angst for the reader. The artwork is different to what I’ve normally seen, but I think that is what drew me to read it in the first place. Unfortunately, this manga is not available in the United States YET, but you can read it on certain manga reading websites.
image_3The final manga is actually one created by songstress, Courtney Love. “Princess Ai” follows a half-angel young woman who falls into Tokyo mysteriously and meets a young college student named Kent who helps her find her way through Tokyo, stardom, and her own personal background. I remember hearing about this manga when it first released and I thought it wouldn’t be that great because it is only 3 volumes long. WELL, I was wrong. It actually has a splendid story and well written lyrics that many have actually turned into actual songs. The art is quite nice and the costumes definitely made sense with Courtney Love being the creator. I would suggest this manga for those looking for a quick read and if you’re a Courtney Love/Nirvana fan!

Well, I apologize for such a short post! Hopefully you all enjoyed it! I will be saying goodnight seeing as how it is close to 12am…so, I hope you all have a fantastic week, be safe, and always remember to be thankful for each and every day.
Thanks for Reading~! ❤

SimplyMe: Sick, Manga, & More…

Hello ladies and gents…
I am so sorry for not posting last week! It’s been a difficult recovery: Remember when I said I had been to the hospital? Well it was for a cystic rupture and a UTI. Luckily, the antibiotics (though were painful for the first 6 days) had worked their crazy drug magic and took care of it…I was then left with a rather sick fiancé as well. Anthony went to the doctor last week for an upper respiratory infection as well as possible pink eye. WELL, he took the antibiotics and the eye drops and…he eye began to swell incredibly. So, we were forced to take him back to the doctor who then referred us to another doctor who then referred us to another doctor 30 minutes away. Luckily they found it was a cellulitis infection in eye and the NEW MEDICINE they prescribed him have done wonders. But, in the midst of taking care of Anthony…I ended up catching a bit of his respiratory infection and I’ve been having coughing fits lately. But, we’re on our way to healthy I suppose.simplyme2So, if you haven’t been on my Twitter; My job has been affected by the furlough since I am a federal employee. Therefore they had to cut my hours for approximately 3 months, so instead of working Mondays I get to have “Furlough Fun Day Monday” as my supervisor puts it. Now I have a lot more time to read, play video games, and act like the total nerd I was probably destined to become one day. I’ve been reading novels, but I guess the “Love So Life” manga has also been terribly addictive as well. IT’S ADORABLE AND MY HEART CAN’T TAKE IT AT TIMES. But if you are looking for a cute, light, and romantic manga…”Love So Life” is good. Very good. As well as my town, Triscuit, in Animal Crossing is flourishing well. I finally got access to the QR reader and I unlocked the Dream Suite which took FOREVER.  I also managed to catch the ridiculous Arapaima. I feel like a champ. A fishing champ.
In other news, I purchased a cute pajama set while shopping this past week and I think it’s just more proof that I am a Disney nerd. I think the main reason I’m addicted to Mickey & Minnie mostly…is because they’re a couple. And Minnie has great fashion sense…simplymeThis past Saturday, we had two events to attend! The first was the Men’s Day Celebration at a local church. I only went to help out with the food and finally wear my Rakuten Eagles jersey. Let me tell you, those were the best grits I’ve had in a while. After words, we celebrated D-Xampl’s 3rd Year anniversary which was a blast…but there wasn’t any real food except for cake. SO we went to Buffalo Wild Wings after and by God, that was the best burger I’ve had since moving out here to Virginia. Nothing trumps In-N-Out in California, but this was pretty darn good. But it was a good time with some good people, so I don’t have any complaints.simplyme3Lately, I feel like I’m becoming one of those crazy dog ladies who takes multiple pictures and loves on her dogs too much. BUT HOW CAN I NOT!? They are so adorable and funny…I can’t help but want to show them off to the world~. I want to love them and squeeze them. I’m even tempted to have them in our engagement photos (we had to postpone the pictures because of Anthony’s health status). But they’ve been attacking me with love since I’ve been sick so often. The kisses and jumping and constant whining at my door has been so loving. I’m truly a dog person…I’m sorry, haha.

Well, that’s been an overview of the past week and a half. I may do another post tonight/tomorrow to make up for the week off and to give you all an actual post so you don’t feel cheated with a personal post…lol. I hope you all enjoyed this post anyways! Until next time…always remember to Live. Laugh. Smile 🙂
Thanks for Reading~! ❤
