SimplyMe: Finals, Birthdays, Reading, And WHAT!?

Hello everyone!
I cannot believe how lethargic I have been feeling lately. Actually, no. I can believe it because I’m neglecting my blog…whoops. Sorry guys. Right now, I am currently dealing with a full-time work schedule, homework, studying for next week’s finals, prepping for my final semester, and trying to get at least one day a week where I can just sleep in and rest. It’s proving difficult, but I am trying really hard to keep up! Just one more week!

Welp, yes. I am indeed studying for my Japanese and Oceanography finals next week and the struggle is real. I will be 100% honest: I suck at exams and I suck at science, so one of those subjects is a double whammy. I am trying my hardest to find any motivation possible to study, but then I think of something else and that becomes a priority. I have found ways to help me enjoy studying, but actually getting to study is most difficult. Le sigh…

On a happier note, my little sister’s birthday was this past week and we ended up at Bahama Breeze in Woodbridge.  She turned 19 years old and we brought our family and her boyfriend’s family together! And guess what, the STR Crew’s Kyler was there! Huzzah.

Finally, I guess I will show you guys what I’ve been reading as of late! I was thinking about doing a separate post on this, but I have some other ideas floating in my head so I’ll show them to you now!

First up is “The Console Wars” by Blake J. Harris. Ever since I saw YouTuber, TheJWittz, tweet about this book, I was immediately intrigued. I am a huge video game fan and my favorite thing about video games is the history behind them as well as the easter eggs and glitches that plague them. “The Console Wars” focuses on the Sega v. Nintendo wars and although the book is pretty lengthy, it’s incredibly detailed and a fantastic read for all you gamer nerds. I highly recommend reading it!

Next is the manga 「きのこいぬ」or “Mushroom Pup”. Now, I had picked this up on a complete whim and I do not regret it. It’s far from my personal taste in manga, but it ended up being something new, refreshing, and ridiculously adorable. It’s a bit difficult to explain the premise, but I suggest reading it if you’re looking for a light comic.

Finally, I ended up picking up two copies of Otaku USA! Why? Because Sailor Moon is on the cover, duh. Why else would I purchase a magazine? Actually, I purchased it to showcase in my room…so I expect to frame it sometime soon. If I’m correct, this is the first US magazine cover Sailor Moon has graced since the original series arrived in America.

Well, that’s it for today’s post! I hope you enjoyed this little update on my incredibly overwhelming lifestyle. More intriguing posts are to come, I promised! As always though, I’d love to hear what you think so feel free to comment down below and if you’d like to recommend post ideas, please hit the contact button above. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and like every week…
