SimplyMe: 20th Birthday Plans!

Hello everyone! Sorry it has taken me so long to post. I am currently on my Spring Break vacation, but I’ve had to work and I recently lost my wallet and it is no where to be found, so I had to go to the DMV and everything to make sure it is all replaced in reasonable time. So, today was really the first day I’ve had free…but then I had to go out and get baking supplies for a Bridal Shower and I thought “Well…since I’m out…why don’t I just go ahead and get my nails done?” So I did. And now here I am.
Moving on, today’s post is going to be a little personal. It is going to be about my 20th birthday plans. To be honest, there are some aspects on my birthday that my family and apparently some of my friends decided to surprise me with so I am kind of unsure of what they are…I’ve never been surprised before so this is entirely new to me. And I am anxious. But other than that, I definitely know how the rest should play out…I hope.b44d45e8-ef70-4e7a-81cd-c6c261268984_zps220c17d1So, hopefully you all know I live in the Northern Virginia area. So, there were quite a few areas I had thought about going for my birthday…I love going to Annandale for the amazing Korean food and adorable cakes and what not. But, I go there so often that there is no adventure in it at that point. I go there to stock up on all the goodies I miss in Japan and all the Korean goodies and baked goods that I have grown to love and eat. I thought about staying here in Fredericksburg like last year or maybe eat in Downtown…but it doesn’t seem like an adventure either. So, after much though and consideration…26409ac1-f733-4f50-bdd2-037db6c2e640_zps9d9a3d70I AM GOING TO BE IN WASHINGTON D.C. MARCH 23RD! I decided I wanted to go to D.C. because I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the Nation’s capital. I remember being so mesmerized by the city when I was little and it has yet to disappear. It’s been a year or two since I have done anything in D.C. and I have been dying to go to the National Zoo since my first date with Anthony! Add the National Cherry Blossom Festival to that and I am to excited for words! I am definitely going to be filming our day in D.C. and show you guys the beauty I am talking about. Of course there is always the question of where to eat…Well, I was thinking Kushi would be great for dinner because of the menu choices and they serve お握り(Rice Balls) with 梅 (Chinese Plum)! I’m hoping to stop by a little cafe for a light lunch or snack to keep us going until dinner. Any good cafes near the National Zoo that you’d recommend? AH! I am so excited. 🙂 But, I must say that my birthday is on the 19th! (in less than an hour actually) so all I’ll be doing tomorrow is school and a nice stroganoff dinner at home with Anthony and the family!

Well, I am sorry with the delay in posts but with all the snow and the slow internet and of course work and other events, it was a bit difficult. But if you frequent Twitter and Instagram, I am posting pretty much every day on those so…go ahead and follow me @TaylorRae319 on both apps/websites! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll probably be posting quite a lot this week! Take care everyone!
Thanks for reading~! ❤
With love,
Taylor Rae
